We use data from the European Space Agency's ENVISAT satellite, processed using ROI_PAC software, developed at JPL. Phase unwrapping was performed by SNAPHU (Chen and Zebker, 2001) and was aided by apriori range change estimates from an inversion of GPS displacements during the interferogram time span. The contribution of topography to the interferogram phase was removed using a SRTM digital elevation model.
The ENVISAT satellite passed over the Parkfield area on September, 30 2004, two days after the Parkfield earthquake, on ascending track 435. We were able to make a pair with a previous ENVISAT aquisition from July 3, 2003. This interferometric pair is the most direct measure of the coseismic-only deformation field available using InSAR.
