Earthquake Commentary

Weekly Maps | Earthquake Commentary | Events of Interest | SeismoCams

For several years, our colleagues at the Caltech Seismological Laboratory have had an earthquake commentary that wa originally written by Kate Hutton. The Berkeley Seismological Laboratory has an oral version, available on our taped earthquake information hotline at (510) 642-2160. Below we offer similar information.

The earthquake information shown here is compiled from observations by the Berkeley Seismological Laboratory, the USGS Menlo Park, Caltech, the USGS Pasadena, the University Nevada at Reno, and USGS NEIC.
