A strong earthquake occurred at 06:16 AM (PST). The event was located about 10 miles ESE of Wells, NV. The moment magnitude for the earthquake is 6.0. The maximum modified Mercalli intensity for the earthquake was VI in the area around the epicenter. At least three people were injured and over twenty buildings heavily damaged and almost seven hundred buildings slightly damaged at Wells, Nevada.
