Valley Life Sciences Building (VLSB)
The Valley Life Sciences Building, popularly known as "VLSB",
is the home of the UC
Museum of Paleontology. Although not open to the public,
the UCMP houses a
collection of numerous fossils that is particularly famous for
its dinosaurs,
some of whose bones are on display in the
central corridor outside the
Bioscience
and Natural Resource Library. Fossils help in the study of
evolution and in fact provide very strong evidence supporting
the theory. Fossils are also very important in the dating of
the sedimentary rocks in which they are found.
