The University of California Seismographic Stations at Berkeley recorded a mild earthquake, which occured at 03:11 PM local time, Friday December 01, 1995. The epicenter was located 5 miles WNW of Berkeley in the region 2 miles ESE of Richmond, CA. The moment magnitude recorded by the Berkeley network was 3.7. The earthquake was strongly felt at UC Berkeley - and disrupted the "Earthquake of the Week" class!
This event occurred in the same area as the magnitude 4.2 event of 06/26/94.
