LocationBBEB is one of the bridge sites of the Northern Hayward Fault Network. The borehole is located on the north side of the east approach of the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge, near the Mole Building. This site is operated under the auspices of Caltrans.

Vault/Borehole ConditionsThe borehole is drilled to a depth of 183 meters and the sensor package is located at the bottom of the hole. Telemetry to the BSL is over a radio connection to McCone Hall, which is prone to fades.
