The following links are for 3d ground motion simulation results for the Los Angeles Basin scenarios plan070103.pdf
defined by Rob Graves. They are listed in the order of the scenario faults defined in Table 1 of the 07/01/03 plan. The file naming convention is {fault name}_{slip model}_{hypocenter model}.bcgmvalues. The file format is
longitude, latitude, station name, depth to 1000m isosurface, depth to 1500m isosurface, depth to 2500m isosurface, depth to 3500m isosurface, distance to surface projection of fault(km), closest distance to rupture plane(km), x-component absolute acceleration (cm/s/s) for 27 periods, y-component absolute acceleration (cm/s/s) for 27 periods, and z-component absolute acceleration for 27 periods. The absolute acceleration was computed using the rspectra.f code written by GEOMATRIX.
The periods (s) computed include: 10.0, 9.500286, 9.00009, 8.499788, 8.0, 7.500187, 6.99986, 6.499837, 5.99988, 5.499945, 5.0, 4.800076, 4.600028, 4.400053, 4.199916, 4.0, 3.79997, 3.599971, 3.399973, 3.2, 3.00003, 2.800022, 2.599969, 2.399981, 2.199978, 2.0, 0.01.
The periods computed are a subset of the periods used in NGA, and are appropriate for the bandlimited nature of the simulations (note PGA T=0.01 is a bandliminted estimate of PGA).
This is a spreadsheet used to examine output from smad_03_h1_bcgmvalues. The first sheet has A&S coefficients for p=0.01, 2, 3, and 5. The second sheet is the smad_03_h1_bcgmvalues data. You can import data for the other simulations by using cut and paste from the explorer (or netscape) window to excel. The third sheet has the data sorted by the z2500 column in ascending order. The fourth sheet has the plots. Let me know if you have any questions.
