Problems in Hydrogeology:

Earthquake hydrology

In this course we will review the observations related to the interaction between groundwater systems and earthquakes. We will discuss the hypotheses that have been advanced to explain observations. No textbook is required, however, as a reference we will follow Ingebritsen and Sanford (Groundwater and Geological Processes) for the background material; original papers will be assigned for reading.

Instructors: Chi Wang and Michael Manga

First meeting: September 1 (Friday), 2:00 pm

Room: McCone 401 (on the balcony)
