MICHAEL MANGA

Neat stuff in the Field

Lesser Antilles, IODP Expedition 340, March-April 2012

Expedition 340 was designed to give us a better understanding of the constructive and destructive processes related to volcanism along island arcs. Michael Manga also had the opportunity to study heat flow on this cruise. Heat flow above and adjacent to this volcanic arc is similar to that of continental volcanic arcs.
