To preserve his memory, Tom's family has requested that the Department of Earth and Planetary Science establish the McEvilly Graduate Student Fellowship in Seismology. The Department must raise $10,000. to name the fund and, as of Sept 30, over $19,000 has been raised. A total of $300,000. is needed to establish the McEvilly fund as an endowed fellowship.
Contributions toward the McEvilly Graduate Student Fellowship should be made out to "The Regents of the University of California" and addressed to Susan Torrano, Department of Earth Planetary Science, 307 McCone Hall, University of California, Berkeley, CA, 94720-4767.
